Job description

Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Enfield to recruit a full-time SEN Co-Ordinator to join their team from January to April 2024, with the potential that this may continue as a permanent position for the right candidate. This is an "Good" Ofsted-rated school that has high ambitions for all of its pupils and where children enjoy themselves and form strong relationships. The school is seeking an experienced SENCO who will readily engage with the school’s inclusive and organised environment and work with their colleagues to ensure comprehensive support for any pupils with Special Educational Needs throughout the school.

Role:

  • Good knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure comprehensive support for children with SEND
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
  • Hold SENCO qualification
  • Have recent mainstream primary school-based experience
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
