Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a team. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support individual or small groups of SEN pupils in and out of the classroom

  • Assist with implementing personalised learning plans (IEPs)

  • Help manage behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes

  • Support pupils with physical or learning difficulties during lessons

  • Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to monitor pupil progress

  • Assist with preparing resources and adapting materials as needed

  • Support pupils during breaks and lunchtime if required
