Job description

Are you a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity? We have a fantastic vacancy for a SEN TA to join a dynamic Specialist Unit within a well-established secondary school in Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support and general classroom support
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Knowledge of various Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in Special Education
