SEND HLTA – Full-time, Temporary Long-term and Ongoing, Starting January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND HLTA to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. Duties as SEND HLTA:

Deliver targeted interventions and support for pupils with SEND across KS1 and KS2
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Lead small group sessions and provide one-to-one support where required
Assist in planning and adapting learning activities to meet diverse needs
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being in line with school policies
Support the development of inclusive classroom practices

Ideal SEND HLTA:

Previous experience working with pupils with SEND in a primary setting
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of strategies for supporting children with additional needs
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
