Step Teachers are working closely with a "Good" Ofsted-rated Primary School in Enfield to find two experienced and confident SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team for the summer term, starting in April 2024. This school is eager to find someone with experience working alongside a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and who can readily contribute to the school's diverse, motivated and friendly educational atmosphere.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Role:

• Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
• Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience working as an SEND Teaching Assistant in a Primary School.
• Ability to support children with Autism, Global delay, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Experience helping children with Speech and Language development.
• Familiarity with the Early Years, KS1 and KS2 curriculums.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
