SEND Teaching Assistant – Part-time, starting ASAP until December 2025
This is a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, both in class and during individual sessions
- Assist the class teacher in implementing personalised learning plans
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the teacher and SENCO as required
- Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND in a school setting
- Strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children
- Flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning
