Job description
Step Teachers are currently looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join our pool of supply staff and support students on a 1:1 basis in schools around Enfield.
Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 support to students with a range of special educational needs
Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Help students stay focused, engaged, and motivated in class
Support with academic, social, and emotional development
Work closely with teachers, parents, and SENCOs to ensure consistent support
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential)
A patient, caring, and resilient attitude as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Commitment to making a difference in children’s learning and well-being
