SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply across Stockport and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teaching assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

Support students with a range of special educational needs in mainstream secondary classrooms
Assist with differentiated learning activities and individual support plans
Promote inclusion and encourage independence in learning
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support
Help manage behaviour and create a calm, safe learning environment
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting students with SEND in secondary schools
Understanding of a range of learning needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Patience, resilience and a proactive approach to learning support
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
