SEND Teaching Assistant – Daily supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Redbridge and the surrounding areas.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across primary and secondary settings
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Assist with personal care and mobility where required
Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a school or care setting
Confident working across a range of age groups and adapting to different needs
Patient, empathetic and adaptable to changing situations
Able to follow safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
Willing to commit to daily supply work across multiple schools as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable
