SEND Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Waltham Forest and nearby areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping to create inclusive learning environments.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Assist with personalised learning plans and interventions
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress
Help manage classroom routines and transitions
Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with children with SEND in UK primary schools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Ability to adapt to different pupil needs and school environments
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
HLTA qualification or relevant training is desirable
Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development
