SEND Teaching Assistants – Full-time, long-term and ongoing, starting ASAP
These opportunities are ideal for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in primary school settings. You will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with SEND needs in a primary classroom setting
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve learning goals
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual needs
- Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher
- Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
- Experience working in a primary school setting
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
