Step Teachers is collaborating with a Primary School in Cambridge to recruit a Teaching Assistant Full-time. (Part-time possibilities will be considered, with the requirement of including work on Fridays)

We are in search of a proficient Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or higher) to join our vibrant Primary School located on the outskirts of Cambridge. The position entails a 30-hour workweek across 5 days, from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm.

The school is a preferred choice for parents due to its welcoming and caring environment, characterized by a robust, inclusive ethos where every member of the community is appreciated. The school is known for its friendly and passionate staff team, committed to the well-being of the children. We prioritize supporting our staff and actively seek opportunities for them to enhance their skills through additional training.

Teaching Assistant Role:

• Upkeep a tidy and organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
• Ability to support students and encourage their progression
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

• Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school is essential
• A good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum 
• A recognised HLTA qualification and relevant experience at this level for an HLTA role
• Applicants with a Level 2/3 certificate will also be considered 
• SEN experience is desirable
