Step Teachers are looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a Specialist Provision within a secondary setting in Plymouth. As a preferred supplier, we have long standing relationship with this school and are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full time role starting as soon as possible and is an ongoing supply. 

The school is a setting for secondary age students who provide a safe learning environment where the students can develop as healthy and happy individuals. The school are looking for someone who can not only support the students but who can also have a positive effect on the school as well. 

SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Able to provide support on a 1-2-1, small group or whole class basis
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support student and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
  • Previous SEND experience is desirable
