Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Norwich

Start Date: 17 June 2024

Type: Full-time (9:00am – 2:45pm)

Step Teachers are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join a supportive educational environment as a Teaching Assistant in Norwich.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a student who struggles in large groups within mainstream settings, ensuring his educational needs are met.
  • Assist in creating a structured and supportive learning environment that caters to the student's individual requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members to implement effective learning strategies and support plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, promoting understanding and empathy among students and staff.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine desire to support the needs of others.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic educational environment.
  • No formal qualifications are necessary for this role; however, experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • SEN experience is desirable.
