This school is seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to help pupils reach their full potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
Support pupils in the classroom, both in groups and 1:1, under the direction of the class teacher.
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils with SEND, behavioural needs, or those who need extra help to access the curriculum.
Supervise pupils during break times, school trips, and enrichment activities as needed.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents/carers.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children or young people (in a school or similar setting).
A patient, nurturing and flexible approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.
A willingness to support children with a range of needs.
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) – essential.
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3) – desirable but not essential.
