Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling position in a Primary school in Upminster? Then we want to hear from you! Step Teachers is working with a welcoming Primary School in the Upminster area that is currently recruiting for a supply Teaching Assistant to start in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils to aid their academic and personal development.

• Assist with classroom management to help maintain a positive and safe learning environment.

• Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

• At least 6 months of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting.

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is essential.

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

• Verifiable references from previous employers or placements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting children’s learning journeys.
