Job description
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Progress Coach) to join a team from October 2025. You will support students’ academic progress, personal development, and well-being, working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to help every pupil reach their potential.
Duties as Teaching Assistant:
Support students’ learning in the classroom through targeted interventions and one-to-one or small group support.
Help monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and guidance.
Mentor and coach students to develop study skills, motivation, and resilience.
Assist in planning and delivering enrichment or support sessions.
Contribute to the positive behaviour and well-being of students, working collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.
Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities.
A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
