Job description

Teaching Assistant – Daily supply from as soon as possible
 
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings in Wantage and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Teaching Assistant:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in both classroom and small group settings
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Promote inclusive practice and encourage pupil independence
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging and positive learning environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and reviews

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Has recent experience working in a primary school setting
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of the primary curriculum and child development
  • Is patient, adaptable and confident supporting pupils of varying abilities
  • Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Has a clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
