Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils in Liskeard and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and thrive in an inclusive environment.

Duties as Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
  • Help implement behaviour strategies and support classroom management
  • Support pupils with personal care needs where required
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a school setting
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with a range of needs
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
