Step Teachers are looking to recruit a Textiles teacher for a secondary school and sixth form located in Hemel Hempstead.  The school have been working with us for a number of years and the position of textiles teacher will be on a contract basis starting in January and due to finish in December, although this has the possibility to be extended. This role is more suited to an experienced teacher but newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply for the position of textiles teacher.

To be suitable for the role of textiles teacher you must:

• Have a current and relevant teaching qualification
• Be able to demonstrate good post/further education examination results
• Have schemes of work that are creative, varied and flexible enough to promote differentiation and commitment to pupil progression
• Have robust classroom management skills

The school have recently opened a new sports, science and music facility and places in the sixth form will be increasing.  At its last Ofsted report the school was judged to be “good” with a steadfast focus in providing high-quality teaching. All new teachers at this school are inducted well. KS 4 attainment for pupils has been above the national average and you will be encouraged and supported to continue with this trend.
