We are happy to be assisting one of our schools in North London, where the levels of achievement are consistently very high, to appoint a Textiles teacher. The position of Textiles teacher is to cover a vacancy within the department and is offered from April. As a Textiles teacher you would become part of a dynamic and aspirational school that is striving to encourage all pupils to reach their highest potential possible.
The Textiles teacher that is successful will adhere to the following;
- The appointed Textiles teacher should motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.
- You should have a teaching qualification and a Textiles based degree.
- It is vital that you can demonstrate experience of planning and teaching Textiles.
- The school are happy to consider outstanding Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) but suggest that the role might be better suited to secondary teachers with experience across the curriculum.
The staff at this school work hard to recognise the needs of individuals, placing suitable demands on them and stimulating them to achieve success. They are proud to create ordered and friendly communities where relationships are positive, founded on courtesy, respect and shared values. A key focus for all stakeholders is to develop and maintain strong links between home, schools and, where appropriate, other relevant agencies.
Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
