Job description

We have a vibrant school that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team part time. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to make a real impact in the early stages of children’s education. This role is for May 2025.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Assess, track, and report on pupils’ progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s social and emotional development
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and establish clear expectations in the classroom
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities

Ideal Year 1 Teacher:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience or strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Be passionate about early years education and child development
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and creativity
  • Be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
