Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a mixed Year 2/3 class. This is a fantastic opportunity to help pupils thrive across the end of Key Stage 1 and the start of Key Stage 2. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
Support individual pupils and small groups, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and topic-based work.
Help to manage classroom routines and maintain a calm, inclusive environment.
Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.
Provide additional support for pupils with additional or special educational needs.
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working across KS1 and/or lower KS2, ideally with mixed-age classes.
Be confident delivering early literacy and numeracy support, including phonics.
Show patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
Be a positive team player who is proactive and reliable.
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
