Job description

As a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, we have long standing relationships with schools and academies in the area and we are currently looking for a full time Year 3 Class Teacher. This role starts in April after the Easter break in a Primary School in Stevenage who are looking for a Year 3 Class Teacher for a long term supply role until the end of the academic year. This class is supported by a Teaching Assistant. 

This Primary School has a one form-entry and is looking for an experienced Year 3 Class Teacher who is able to come into the school and make a positive impact. The aims of the school is to nurture confidence and creativity and to motivate students to be proactive and love learning. 

Role of Year 3 Class Teacher:

  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum in at Key Stage 2
  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
  • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Year 3 Class Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher
  • Have strong level of classroom and behaviour management
  • Experience working with SEND is desirable
