Job description

Are you a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant searching for your next chance at a Primary school that provides children with the tools and knowledge they need to reach their full potential from an early age? Step Teachers are collaborating with a Primary school to find a motivated Teaching Assistant with a strong profile, passion and a desire to plant that fire in young minds. This is a long-term supply post and the successful candidate is expected to start in September 2024.

Teaching Assistant - Role:

  • Support classroom activities and help teachers offer compelling lessons.
  • Give one-on-one support and individualised guidance to kids who may need it.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement effective learning strategies and support programs.
  • Create a pleasant and inclusive environment that encourages understanding and empathy among students and staff.

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine desire to support the needs of others.
  • Experience in phonics intervention is essential.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • SEN experience is desirable.
