Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher for a temporary, long-term, ongoing role, starting January 2026. The position is part-time (2–3 days per week).

Pupils thrive in a warm, welcoming environment where learning is ambitious and well-structured. Staff support all pupils, including those with SEND, to deepen their understanding and prepare confidently for the future. Excellent behaviour, strong attendance, and a focus on personal development help pupils feel safe, respected, and ready for life beyond the classroom.

Duties as a Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum

  • Assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ progress and attainment

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning outcomes

  • Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 4 Teacher.

  • A passion for supporting and inspiring primary pupils
