Year 4 Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a committed and caring Teaching Assistant to join a Year 4 team at a wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a key stage where children develop independence, confidence, and more advanced learning skills. Beginning May 2025.

Duties as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons

• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost progress

• Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays

• Foster positive relationships with pupils and help promote a calm, focused learning environment

• Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs

• Assist in preparing materials and supporting learning across the curriculum, especially in English and Maths

Ideal Year 4 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a Key Stage 2 setting

• A caring, positive, and patient attitude

• Good literacy and numeracy skills as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant.

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

• A commitment to supporting pupils of all abilities and backgrounds

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable
