Year 5 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge our upper Key Stage 2 pupils as they continue their learning journey towards Year 6 and beyond. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and set high expectations for pupil achievement.
Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development.
Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Contribute to the wider school community and extra-curricular activities.
Ideal Year 5 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally in Year 5 or Upper KS2.
A thorough understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation.
High expectations of all pupils and a commitment to raising standards.
Strong behaviour management and organisational skills as a Year 5 Teacher.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
