Job description

Art Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary cover from January 2026 until July 2026

Duties as Art Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Art lessons that inspire creativity and meet curriculum requirements
  • Use pre-prepared plans to deliver lessons effectively
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning

Ideal Art Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art across Key Stages
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Previous experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting is desirable
