Job description

Do you have experience working with children who have behaviour and complex learning issues? I am currently looking for LSA's who are interested in working in one of my schools based in Southwark. This is a SEN school and easy to get to from all over London with excellent transport links. The school encourages warm and inclusive environment for all pupils and staff.

The school is one of the best at ensuring behaviours in and out of the classroom are at the highest standard possible and has an excellent track record of ensuring pupils achieve.

Starting from January the school want to see an addition to the excellent team they currently work with. Your role will be to support the existing staff in assisting the teacher with the delivery of lesson plans across the class. You will also be required to help the children with reading and writing and ensuring that safeguarding is paramount in all circumstances.

The pupils have a range of needs including complex medical needs, PMLD, Down Syndrome, ASD spectrum, EBD and ADHD. Therefore, it is essential to possess an empathetic approach to the learners. You will need to be aware of boundaries and also aware of external issues that may appear in the classroom from time to time.

The school wants someone to join them who can add value and make a positive impact on the children’s lives.

If you have worked with children in a school setting either paid or voluntary than this would be ideal for you. Please apply to get the process started.
