Behaviour Officer – Full-time, Temp to Perm, Starting January 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Behaviour Officer to join a school that fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment. Duties as Behaviour Officer:
- Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies across the school
- Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs to engage positively in learning
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to promote a consistent approach
- Develop and maintain behaviour plans and intervention programmes
- Provide guidance and support to staff on managing challenging behaviour
- Liaise with parents and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding procedures
Ideal Behaviour Officer:
- Previous experience in a behaviour management or pastoral role within a school setting
- Strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Flexible, resilient, and committed to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
