General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Teach General Science full time across relevant KS3 and KS4 classes
- Deliver well‑structured practical and theory-based lessons
- Adapt teaching to support varied learning needs and abilities
- Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
- Support pupils’ development of enquiry, investigation, and scientific literacy
- Assess progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Science teaching experience
- Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge in core scientific disciplines
- Effective behaviour and classroom management
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Able to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality Science teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
