Chemistry Teacher
Job description
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chemistry Teacher to join a dedicated science department. If you have a love for chemistry and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, we would love to hear from you. You will teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level (Key Stage 5) depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be someone who can bring the subject to life through engaging lessons, practical experimentation, and strong subject knowledge. Starting September 2025.
Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:
Deliver well-structured and inspiring chemistry lessons across key stages
Use practical work to enhance scientific understanding and enthusiasm
Prepare students for GCSE and (if applicable) A-Level examinations
Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and department planning
Support science-related enrichment, clubs, or trips
Ideal Chemistry Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Chemistry in a secondary setting (NQTs/ECTs welcome)
Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Chemistry Teacher.
A genuine enthusiasm for the subject and science education
A reflective, collaborative, and inclusive approach to teaching
