Cover Manager

Are you a confident and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? A school in Norwich is looking to appoint an efficient and proactive Cover Manager to coordinate daily and long-term cover for staff absence, ensuring continuity of learning across the school. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Manager:

• Managing and organising daily staff cover, including arranging supply staff where necessary.

• Liaising with teaching and support staff regarding planned and unplanned absences.

• Maintaining up-to-date cover records and timetables.

• Ensuring cover work is in place and communicated to relevant staff.

• Supporting supply staff and cover supervisors to ensure effective lesson delivery.

• Working closely with senior leadership, HR, and external agencies as required

Ideal Cover Manager:

• Be highly organised, flexible, and able to remain calm under pressure.

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as Cover Manager

• Be confident using IT systems and able to manage scheduling effectively.

• Show initiative and take responsibility for delivering a key function within the school.

• Ideally have experience working in a school environment or in a similar role
