English Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive English department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and foster a love for literature, language, and effective communication. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as English Teacher:
Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
Develop and implement engaging schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements
Support students in improving their reading, writing, and analytical skills
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Contribute to the development of the department and wider school initiatives
Ideal English Teacher:
A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (ECTs are welcome to apply)
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher
A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
