Position: Cover Supervisor

A secondary school in Greenwich is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Cover Supervisor to join them ASAP on a long-term to permanent basis. The school can offer a good working environment with opportunities and encouragement to develop both personally and professionally. Staff wellbeing is a high priority. The school is based in a fantastic location with excellent transport links including the DLR, Elizabeth Line and mainline railways.

Role of a Cover Supervisor:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task.
• Assisting with the development of educational resources.
• Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

• A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with secondary school students.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• The ability to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
• A positive and proactive attitude.
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
