Cover Supervisors

We are seeking reliable and organised Cover Supervisors to support a range of schools in Devon from the end of September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in schools and supporting pupils’ learning in the absence of teaching staff.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged.

• Follow lesson plans provided by teachers to maintain continuity of learning.

• Manage behaviour and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.

• Support pupils’ social and emotional well-being.

• Report on pupil progress and any issues to teaching staff.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.

• Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.

• Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and professional in all situations.

• Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
