General Cover Teacher
Job description
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable General Cover Teachers to support schools in Devon from the end of September 2025. This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to gain experience across different year groups and settings.
Duties as Cover Teacher:
Deliver planned lessons and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of class teachers.
Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment.
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
Assist with administrative tasks and marking where required.
Ideal Cover Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with classroom experience.
Flexible and adaptable with excellent communication and organisational skills as Cover Teacher.
Ability to work across multiple year groups and key stages.
Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
