Design Technology Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. This is a great opportunity to inspire students to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving through a broad range of design and technology disciplines. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology including product design, resistant materials, textiles, and graphics
Foster creativity and technical skills through practical and theory-based learning
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
Support students in preparing for GCSE and other relevant qualifications
Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and extracurricular projects
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field
Strong subject knowledge and practical experience in design and technology areas
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
A passion for encouraging innovation and creativity in students
