​We are working with a secondary school in Ilford who are seeking a qualified Design Technology teacher to begin in September 2022. This role is available on a full-time basis and for the right candidate, this can lead to a permanent offer.

The school has been rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted with the Headteacher being a driving force behind the success. There is a strong culture in the school that everyone can be successful there. The behaviour and attitude of the students are exemplary with the students aware of their challenging targets.

Role:

  • Strong Design Technology curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Maths

  • Relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
