Design Technology Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year

Duties as Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across relevant year groups
- Support pupils in developing practical skills, creativity, and technical understanding
- Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop or classroom environment
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit varied learning needs
- Assess pupils’ learning and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain consistent routines
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Design Technology
- Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical DT units
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting well‑being
