Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a school on a maternity cover contract from January 2026 until the end of the summer term (July 2026).

Duties as Drama Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across the relevant key stages.

  • Inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork in students through performance and practical activities.

  • Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as school productions, workshops, and clubs.

  • Assess and track student progress in line with school and curriculum requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Ideal Drama Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level.

  • A strong subject knowledge with the ability to motivate and engage learners.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Drama Teacher.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
