Job description

​​Step Teachers are working with a School in Wood Green to source an English teacher. This role will commence in September 2023

This is a "Good" Ofsted-rated School where the executive headteacher and headteacher have high aspirations for the school and a clear vision for its expansion as part of the academy trust. They have been instrumental in designing a welcoming community school, where there are high ambitions for all pupils.

Role:

  • Strong English curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching English

  • The relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
