Step Teachers are looking for a Full Time English Teacher for a role in a Secondary Academy in Aylesbury. This English Teacher role starts in September 2024 and is a permanent position. The position is full time and would involve teaching English across both Key Stage 3 and 4.

This Secondary School is looking for someone who can embody the values and make appositive impact on both the students and the school. The school sets high expectations and encourages every child to achieve the best results they are capable of with a curriculum that is accessible to every student.   

English Teacher Role:

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum
• Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

English Teacher Requirements:

• Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as an English Teacher at Secondary School level.
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant English related degree is desirable
• SEND experience is desirable
