Are you an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity for the new academic year? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious secondary school in Beccles for a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join their dynamic team starting in September 2024.

English Teacher Role: 

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for literature and language among students, guiding them to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to students of varying abilities, preparing them for GCSE examinations. This is a long-term position, offering stability and the chance to make a lasting impact on the school community.

Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.

Requirements of an English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective teaching practice.
