A SEN school are seeking an English teacher to join them from September 2024.


A renowned SEN school in Southwark for students aged 11 to 16 is seeking a qualified English teacher to join them full-time from September. The school will consider applications from both primary and secondary-trained teachers.

The Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
  • Organised and professional manner.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff.
  • English teacher with an ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons to SEN pupils.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
  • A patient and understanding manner are essential as the students learn at well below the national average for their age range.

Requirements:

  • An English-related degree is highly desirable.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching maths at the primary or secondary level.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • English teacher with excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
