We are looking for a qualified English teacher to work in a secondary school in West Norfolk. This is a full-time position through Step Teachers and applications are welcome from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as well as those with more experience. The position of an English teacher is due to commence in November 2020.

This is a large mixed comprehensive school with high aspirations for everyone who is part of the community whether students or members of staff. A rapidly improving school recently rated by Ofsted as having good leadership and good capacity to improve further. You will see when you visit the School that they are passionate about what they do: getting the best out of every child whatever their abilities, interests, or ambitions. This is a place of work and a strong work ethic is demanded from staff and students alike.

  • You should have a teaching qualification and an English degree.
  • The appointed English teacher should motivate, enthuse, excite, and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.
  • You will have schemes of work that are creative, varied, and flexible enough to promote differentiation and commitment to pupil progression.
  • Have experience delivering English in a mainstream setting.
