English Teacher
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a committed and forward-thinking department. We are looking for a skilled educator who can foster a love of literature and language, and support students in developing their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Teach English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is welcome but not essential)
Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that support progress for all learners
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention
Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and enrichment activities
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in English or a related subject
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and current educational practices
A passion for literature, language, and effective communication
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as English Teacher.
