English Teacher – Full-time, temporary role from as soon as possible until March 2026

Duties as English Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons using prepared resources
  • Teach across relevant year groups with no marking or planning required
  • Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote positive routines
  • Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative department environment
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of mixed abilities
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
