Are you a passionate and dedicated English specialist looking for a rewarding short-term placement? We are seeking an inspirational English Teacher to join a thriving department from the start of the summer term through to the May half-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive, high-achieving environment where you can make a tangible impact on students’ progress during a critical period of the academic year. Whether you are looking to broaden your experience in a top-tier setting or seeking a focused short-term role, we provide an environment where teaching is a pleasure and professional standards are exceptionally high.

Located in the heart of Enfield, we are a large, inclusive, and vibrant all-through academy (ages 2–18) that serves a diverse local community. We pride ourselves on an ethos of "exceptional" practice and "strong" standards across the board. Our school is a calm, busy, and purposeful place to work; our students are polite, respectful, and genuinely keen to learn.

Duties as English Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Ensure high-quality learning experiences that support student progress.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to inform teaching and provide effective feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department where required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuity of learning.

Ideal English Teacher:

  • Holds QTS and has strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Has experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Demonstrates effective behaviour management and a positive classroom presence.
  • Shows commitment to supporting student progress throughout the placement.
  • Is adaptable, reliable, and able to integrate smoothly into an established team.
